For the past ten years I have run a technical trading company, supplying equipment and parts to plants across several industries: food and beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, water, semiconductors and more.
In those years I kept running into the same four situations, at my customers and in my own business.
A company has a better, faster or cheaper solution, and nobody uses it, because the buyer does not know the company can do it.
A manufacturer develops a product that would help a lot of users, and those users never hear about it.
A plant has an acute problem that a local company could fix today, with people who know the product. The plant does not know that company exists, so the line stays down.
A production run needs an extra quantity of raw material at short notice, and the buyer has no idea who could deliver it.
None of this is a lack of skill or capacity. The companies exist and the work is there. They simply do not find each other. And it is the same in every industry, in every country I have worked in.
That is why we built Headcore. Its job is to take the noise out of technical B2B: to make sure the capacity and knowledge that companies already have gets used, and to help plants get back to producing faster. A buyer describes what they need, in their own words, and the request reaches the companies that do that work. The right company for the job, not the one you happen to know.
Because I have been on the supplier side of this market for ten years, Headcore is built the way I always wished a system like this worked. No subscriptions, no hidden fees, no paid rankings. It follows the way companies already work today: you describe a need, it reaches the companies that can meet it, and everything after that is between the two of you. Only a lot more efficient.
