Before you hire scaffolding
Put up for you, or delivered
Some jobs need the scaffold erected, inspected and taken down by the hire company. Others only need it delivered for your own team to put up. Say which, because it changes who works on your site.
What decides the cost
The size of the scaffold, how many weeks you keep it, and whether erecting, taking down and transport are included. A clear size and duration lets suppliers respond to your job instead of guessing.
Access and the ground
Where a truck can offload, the surface the scaffold stands on, and anything in the way, such as overhead lines, a roof edge or traffic.
What your site asks for
An inspection before use, a scaffold register, or proof of training for the people who erect it. Name what your site needs so suppliers can say whether they provide it.
Questions buyers ask
What does it cost to post a request?
Posting a request is free. A supplier pays one token when it decides your request is worth answering. What you agree about the work is between you and the supplier.
Who sees my request?
Companies that do this specific work, within reach of your site. They see the job. Whether they also see your company name is your choice: you can stay anonymous until you pick who to talk to.
What if nobody responds?
Your request reaches companies that do this work within minutes. Each decides for itself whether to respond, so we cannot promise responses. If the work cannot wait, contact your usual suppliers as well.
Can I ask for aluminium or frame scaffolding?
Yes. Say which type you need, or describe the work and let suppliers say what they would put up. You choose who to speak with.
How is scaffolding hire usually charged?
Usually per week or month for the scaffold, with erecting, taking down and transport sometimes charged on top. Give the size and the number of weeks, and suppliers respond to your job as described.
Can I ask for the scaffold to be inspected and handed over?
Yes. Say what you need, such as an inspection before use and a register on site. Suppliers say in their response whether they provide it, and you choose who to speak with.
What if the job runs longer than planned?
Say in your request whether the dates might move. Extending the hire is agreed between you and the supplier you choose, not with Headcore.
Does Headcore hire out equipment?
No. Headcore is a matching system: it puts your request in front of companies that do this work, and you deal with the supplier directly. Keep your usual suppliers; use Headcore when they cannot help, or when the job is outside what they do.
